Just a quick recap of what's been going on this semester.
Beta Phi Halloween Social
The day before Halloween, the brothers of XPO and the sisters of Beta Phi decided to have a social. We had such a good time carving pumpkins, doing the relay race, and posing in our wonderful costumes. Thank you to the sisters for hosting us, and Happy Halloween!
Club Event with Supreme Soul
One of our brothers, PJ Jacinto, was the mc at a club event at Mission Rock. Of course, we had to support him, and we help promote towards Thorough Thursdays. To top it off, we had Supreme Soul performing at the event. This dance crew was great. Special thanks to all who came through and had fun.
PAHM Rally
In the spirit of Pilipino American History Month, XPO tag-teamed with the sisters of Kappa Psi Epsilon to throw a Wowowee game show in Malcolm X Plaza. Thanks to all who participated in the game. Hope you all had fun. Congratulations to Joseph for winning two tickets to our club event with Supreme Soul.
XPO Bro Auction
This is a creative way the brothers of Chi Rho Omicron can fundraise money. It is a Bro Auction. Each bro offers specific services while attendees show support by bidding. The event was pretty exciting. Thank you to all those who supported, and a special shout out to Hard Hats Bistro for allowing us to use their bar for our event.
Breast Cancer Walk
With all the excitement during Greek Week, the Fraternity Sorority Council (FSC) decided to help support Breast Cancer Awareness through the Breast Cancer Walk in Golden Gate Park. There are plenty of Greek organizations supporting. Hopefully, we can see you guys out there next time.
40 Years of REEL Struggle
In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Third World Liberation Front (TWLF), the brothers of XPO hosted a series a films on campus. We would like to thank all of those who came out and supported, especially filmmaker and director Arturo Perez, Jr for speaking on behalf of his film, Where have all the Flowers Gone?
APAture
APAture is a local Asian American art festival hosted by Kearny Street Workshop. They feature local artists and their work. It was with our great pleasure to support these people by volunteering and keeping guests happy.
Fundraising at Claire's
People always wonder why is it free to join. Well, one of the things we do is fundraise. Recently, a few brothers gather together and helped our local Claire's stores doing their inventory. It may seem boring and tedius, but we always seem to have a good time during it.
Fall Rush 2008
We would like to thank everyone who came out during rush. We hope you enjoyed all of our events. Congratulations to our social chairs Andrew Manosca and Bryan Olazo for a very successful rush. We look forward to the Spring rush.
